WEST CHESTER, Pa. – Clair Afrassiabian won her singles match at No. 4 over Brittany Weeks, and Kara Shumock and Teresa Grasso teamed up at No. 3 doubles to earn West Chester’s other point in a 7-2 defeat at the hands of Bloomsburg Thursday afternoon.
Afrassiabian dispatched her opponent in straight sets, 6-3, 6-1 to pick up the hosts’ only point in singles competition. Grasso and Shumock won 8-6 in a tie-breaker for the only doubles win of the afternoon.
West Chester returns to action on Friday, weather permitting, when the Golden Rams host Cheyney in a women’s tennis match at WCU.
